The town of Deir Abu Daif, is famous for its archaeological and heritage landmarks, which include the old Madabas “grape presse” that are widely spread in the mountains, where they were used to press grapes and make molasses. They also are known for manufacturing straw trays and traditional clothes as a women’s handicraft, especially during the wheat harvest season. The town of Deir Abu Daif is located to the east of the city of Jenin and is 7 km away from the city center. It has a population of 8000 people. It is located within the joint municipality of Marj Ibn Amer. The area of ​​the village is 18,000 acres, about 1800 acres of it are greenhouses.  The town is also famous for the cultivation of olive trees, as there are about 5,000 acres of mountainous lands planted with olives and forest trees such as willow and butam.

olive trبلدة دير أبو ضعيف، تشتهر بمعالمها الأثرية والتراثية، منها المدابس القديمة المنتشرة بكثرة في الجبال حيث كانت تستخدم لعصر العنب و عمل الدبس. أيضا صناعة صواني القش و الملابس التقليدية كحرفة يدوية نسوية تعمل بها نساء القرية خاصة في موسم حصاد القمح. تقع بلدة دير ابو ضعيف الى الشرق من مدينة جنين وتبعد عن مركز المدينة 7 كيلو متر ويبلغ عدد سكانها “8000” نسمة وهي تقع ضمن منطقة بلدية مرج ابن عامر المشتركة وتبلغ مساحة القرية “18000” الف دونم وتشتهر بالزراعة خصوصا البيوت البلاستيكية حيث تبلغ الكمية المزروعة من البيوت البلاستيكية حوالي “1800” دونم. كما تشتهر البلدة بزراعة أشجار الزيتون، إذ يوجد في القرية حوالي “5000” دونم من الأراضي الجبلية المزروعة بالزيتون والاشجار الحرجية مثل الصفصاف والبطم.
