المشي من برقين إلى عرّابة يربط بين مَعلمين مهمّين. يبدأ هذا المقطع من الكنيسة القديمة المعاد تأهيلها الجميلة من برقين. بالإضافة إلى ذلك فإنّ المسار يتبع الشوارع الضيقة والملتوية الممتدة من برقين والتي توصل إلى حافة القرية ،وتمتد إلى المزارع المحيطة بها. وفي الربيع عادة ما تُزرع الحقول بالملفوف والقرنبيط والشومرو الزيتون والخيار والبطاطا والفلفل بانواعة المختلفة. وهناك سيتم الترحيب بكم من قبل المزارعين الذين يقومون بحرث أراضيهم.
ومن هناك يمتد المسار نحو تلة عالية – جبل بارد – الممتلئ بنبات قرن الغزال أو بخور مريم والذي يطلُّ على القرى الصغيرة ومدينة الناصرة، خارج الخط الأخضر. انّه موقع ممتاز للاستمتاع بالمنظر والانتعاش بشرب كوب من شاي الأعشاب السّاخن حلو المذاق والمغلي على النار.

Location

The hike from Burqin to Araba connects two important landmarks.  The trail starts at the beautifully restored ancient Church of St. George.  Further on, it follows the narrow, crooked streets of Burqin that lead to the edge of the village and extend into the surrounding farmlands.  In the springtime, the fields are usually planted with olive trees, cucumber, potatoes and peppers of different types cabbages, cauliflower and aromatic fennel.  Hikers will be greeted by farmers plowing their fields.  From there, the path leads upwards towards a high hill: Jabal Barid (“Cold Mountain”), dotted with flowering cyclamens and overlooking small villages as well as the city of Nazareth, just beyond the Green Line.  It is a great spot to enjoy the view and be refreshed with a cup of sweet, fire-brewed herbal tea.
