The distinguished location of Deir Ghazala village and its presence in a plain area allows for astronomical observation. A cooperation agreement was signed in 2019 between the village council and the Palestinian Astronomical Society (NOVA) in order to establish an astronomical camp in the village for observation, and for providing educational and awareness-raising courses for those interested from the region. The area was examined and found to be free of environmental and light pollution and for this reason, was chosen as one of the most suitable areas for such activities.

بسبب الموقع المتميز لقرية دير غزالة و وجودها في منطقة سهلة يمكن منها مراقبة النجوم و الفلك تم توقيع اتفاقية تعاون عام 2019 بين المجلس القروي و الجمعية الفلكية الفلسطينية من أجل تأسيس مخيم فلكي في القرية لمراقبة النجوم و الفلك و تقديم الدورات التعليمية والتوعوية للمهتمين في المنطقة. فقد تم فحص المنطقة و تبين أن القرية لا تعاني من أي تلوث بيئي و بذلك هي مكان مناسب لإنشاء مخيم الرصد الفلكي.
