من الشوارع الضيقة والسهول الواسعة إلى التقاليد والحداثة، لا تمثل فقط روح المكان الذي يعتنق شعبه التعددية بأكثر الطرق عفوية ولكن أيضًا المجتمع الذي تتجذر قيمه بعمق في الامتنان. منذ عام 2008 عندما تم إنشاء شركة كنعان للتجارة العادلة على الجانب الآخر من أراضي برقين، يتردد الأجانب على القرية للتعرف على إنتاج زيت الزيتون الفلسطيني في سياقاتها القديمة والحديثة من معصرة زيتون حديثة وآثار زيتون كنعانية قديمة المطابع. مزيج زيت الزيتون الخاص بكنعان يأتي من برقين، من قطعة أرض تسمى البياضة تشتهر بزيت الزيتون اللذيذ، والذي يتم حصاده وعصره على الفور في منشأة كنعان. تنتج برقين 10 أطنان من زيت الزيتون العقاري الذي لاقى استحساناً دولياً لجمعه من أشجار عمرها مئات السنين.

From narrow streets to wide plains, reflecting both tradition and modernity, Canaan Fair Trade represents not only the spirit of a people who embrace pluralism in the most spontaneous of ways, but also a community whose values are deeply rooted in gratitude.  Since 2008 when the Canaan Fair Trade was established across from Burqin, international visitors have frequented the village of Burqin to learn about Palestinian olive oil production in its ancient and modern contexts, including a state-of-the-art olive press as well as the remains of old Canaanite olive presses.  Canaan’s special blend of estate olive oil comes from a piece of land called al-Bayada that is famous for its flavorful olive fruit, harvested and pressed immediately at Canaan’s facility.  Burqin’s co-op annually produces 10 tons of the estate olive oil.  This has received international acclaim for being collected from trees that are hundreds of years old.
